Episode 115: Knicks-Bulls, Gm 1, May 8th, 1994 | Eastern Conference Semifinals

The Chicago Bulls entered the 1993-94 season as three-time defending NBA champions, and in the wake of Michael Jordan's retirement, the team was led by Scottie Pippen, Horace Grant and BJ Armstrong, along with key additions Steve Kerr, Luc Longley and star rookie, Toni Kukoč, finishing in 3rd place in the Eastern Conference. After defeating the Cleveland Cavaliers in first round of the 1994 playoffs, the Bulls squared off against a longstanding foe, conference rivals, the New York Knicks, led by Patrick Ewing, John Starks, Charles Oakley, Derek Harper, Hubert Davis, Anthony Mason, Charles Smith, Anthony Bonner and Greg Anthony. The series was defined by hard-nosed play, a changing power dynamic in the league and the emergence of players with new roles and opportunities.

This week, Chris and Ben jump down the rabbit hole and revisit an NBA Classic, Game 1 of the Eastern Conference Semifinals of the 1994 NBA Playoffs between the New York Knicks and Chicago Bulls.

On The Line is hosted by Chris Wendelken and Ben Craw.
